Space Thrashers Y, designed by Brandon Milton from BrandonSoft, is the unofficial sequel to the seemingly unpopular Space Thrashers X. Space Thrashers X, which was written in BASIC and originally designed by DB Programming, lacked many features that Brandon envisioned in the final product. Unfortunately, most of these missing features were due to his lack of knowledge in the field of video game programming. You can see a video demonstration of Space Thrashers X here.
Two years after Space Thrashers X's release, Brandon had the knowledge of creating a working, efficient game in the Java programming language. He began work on Space Thrashers Y almost immediately, and all of the features included within Space Thrashers Y were originally intended for its predecessor, Space Thrashers X. After about two weeks of full-blown development, the first prototype was complete, and after about a week of testing, a playable version was released.
Of course, the playable version wouldn't be anywhere near fantastic if the graphics and soundtrack weren't good, so Brandon paired up with a BrandonSoft partner, Caesium Studio, who created graphics that were near perfect. For the soundtrack, Brandon teamed up with an old friend who goes by the alias of Scarab. Scarab is a young music producer who was, at the time, looking for some much needed publicity. He was all-to-eager to create the fantastic soundtrack that now reflects Space Thrashers Y.
Unfortunately, there isn't much else to say on the topic of Space Thrashers Y, so here ends the about page.
